The inspector decided that despite their links to farming, the rearing of sheep dogs were not considered to be agriculture as defined by section 336 of the Town and Country Planning Act 1990 and the construction of kennels for this purpose was not a ‘building required for agriculture or forestry’ and therefore not an exception to the list of inappropriate development in the Green Belt
